Did you ever watch the show ‘I Dream of Jeannie’? Barbara Eden plays this vivacious genie in a bottle who is found off of Cocoa Beach by astronaut Major Tony Nelson (played by Larry Hagman). It is a great show full of witty dialogue and fanciful scenes. While the show was not filmed at Cocoa Beach, there are still some tributes to it that can be found around.
The first place is the I Dream Of Jeannie lane. This street was dedicated in honor of the show and Barbara Eden came did the unveiling. Located just off of the A1A along the Atlantic Coast at the Lori Wilson Park, it is a must see for any Jeannie fans.
After that, keep making your way down the street until you come to the ‘I Dream of Yogurt’ shop. This bright pink and green frozen yogurt place is full of pictures and memorabilia from the show. You can sit back and relax while the complete series of the show plays on the tv.
There are a couple of other places that give a nod to the show including a sign on the pier at Cocoa Beach and a sign at the visitor information center. But neither of those are as fun to see as these two places are. Now to get the theme song out of head…
