I always thought that Aruba was nothing but white sand beaches surrounded by deep blue sea. But when I ventured there I realized that there are some white sand beaches but they only cover a few miles along one side of the island. The rest of the island is a dynamic land of lava rocks, desert, cacti, and rocky shores. I was shocked at first, but the more I explored around the more I realized that all the different parts make up one of the most beautiful islands I have ever seen. It is a land of beautiful contrasts and well worth getting out of the beach area to see it all.
