Mother’s Day dinner we went to Germany…well, we went to the Germany Pavilion at Epcot. I love Epcot- all the details to give visitors as close to authentic feel as possible of other countries. We wandered through the shops contemplating which steins we would want, watching the miniature train make it’s way through the German countryside, and lingering on the wonderful smell of giant pretzels just coming out. But the real thrill of the evening was dinner at The Bergarten restaurant. This restaurant is set up like all the great beer gardens in Germany with large wooden tables everywhere and a stage in the middle. We were seated with another family and we enjoyed many trips back and forth to the buffet filled with delicious German food. We watched the performers as they sang folk music in their traditional attire. The music was wonderful, the atmosphere was lively, and the food was amazing. The Germany Pavilion is second only to actually being in Germany.
