Ah, the sweet soulful sound of bagpipes floating across Scotland. And there is no better way to really understand what the bagpipes mean to the Scottish than by visiting the The National Piping Center in Glasgow. This incredible place houses the museum of bagpipes along with being a place of learning and preforming the bagpipes. It takes you the history of bagpipes and how they have grown to be a symbol of Scotland. But did you know that bagpipes are not originally from Scotland? They first appeared in the middle east and were brought to Scotland by traders. But there is no doubt that Scotland perfected the bagpipes and established them as a supreme instrument.
