Fort Christmas Historical Park {Florida}

We stopped by the Fort Christmas Historical Park for a pleasant afternoon. The fort was built on Christmas day in 1837 during the Seminole Wars. The fort was named Fort Christmas and then later the town was named Christmas after the fort. The fort houses artifacts and pictures of both the Seminole people and the settlers at that time. In the park is also a few of the settlers homes that you can tour through as well. What I liked the most was the attention the museum portion of the fort gives to the Seminole people as well as the settlers. It gives a great perspective about all the people during that time and how they were affected by the turbulence of what was happening around them.
