Historical Printing Museum {Utah}

One of my favorite little known museums is the Historical Printing Museum in Provo Utah. I stumbled across the museum one day and was amazed at this small but wonderful assortment of interesting things. They have a real Guttenberg Printing press and give demonstrations on how it was used to bring prints to the masses. The museum hosts one of the bibles that was first printed by the Guttenberg Press back in the 1450’s. The museum follows the history of the printing press from Guttenberg, to Benjamin Franklin’s printing press from the Revolutionary era, to the pioneers who came west and established the state. The museum is full of historical documents and artifacts related to the printing press and its profound influence throughout the world. While not a large museum, it is a fascinating experience and absolutely well worth a visit.
