Historic Jungle Trail {Florida}

This quaratine time has been rough. Most days we find ourselves getting in the car and driving somewhere-anywhere- to just get out of the house. Yesterday was a perfect day for a drive since it was cool and rainy so we headed south along the A1A by the coast for awhile. We happened upon a sign for the Jungle Trail and went to check it out. It was absolutely perfect for a peaceful drive. This wonderful 8 mile road weaves through the lush canopy and undergrowth between the barrier islands. Originally built in the 1920’s, this road was used by citrus farmers carting their produce to and from. These days it serves as a great place to drive, bike, or walk to escape the heat. It was lovely and I think it could become our go-to for family drives.
