Old Dixie Highway/Ormond Scenic Loop {Florida}

We decided to get away for a couple of days and made our way north. We took a detour along the Old Dixie Highway (also called the Ormond Scenic Loop) to experience what is considered Florida’s best scenic drive. This drive takes you under lush canopies, next to the peaceful wetlands, and along the A1A right next to the ocean from Ormond Beach to Flaggler Beach. There is no question why this is thought to be such a favorite for scenic drives. To get here get off I-95 for Old Dixie Highway or County Road 2002 and make your way east. You will come across signs for the Ormond Scenic Loop so then just follow the signs. The loop is an easy drive that doesn’t take very long. It is the perfect detour if you are in that area.
