One of the most impressive sights to see in the east part of Wyoming is Devils Tower National Monument. This was the country’s first national monument, dedicated by President Theodore Roosevelt in September 1906. Standing at 867 ft. from the base to the summit, this imposing structure with its slated columns of rock is considered a climbers dream. Hundreds of climbers come to Wyoming every year to take on the challenge of climbing the rock face of this tower. But if you are not up for a major climb like that, there is a walking path that winds its way up to the top of tower offering some incredible views.
