Tis the season for light displays and festive holiday delights. This time of year it seems there is no end to places trying to outdo each other with light displays and family activities. We debated between a few of them and finally decided on Enchant Nashville which is a light display presented by Hallmark Christmas movies.
When we arrived we were a little surprised to find that this epic light display experience was at the baseball park. But looking down into the lights we soon forgot about that and were amazed at the display that awaited us.
But before getting lost in the lights, we first went to do a little ice skating. We got in line along with all the other families and couples that were there to borrow some skates. They had skates in what seemed like every size so that anyone from the tall to the small could enjoy the ice. The ice curved in and around the slivery lighted trees giving a perfect movie type scene.
Our next stop was to go and visit the man in red himself. Santa had his own little room set away from all the hustle and bustle of the park. Tessa is still at the wonderfully fun age of believing and she got a little star struck as she sat on his knee and talked to him. Santa listened to her and asked her a lot of questions, really taking the time to make the experience special for her.
After that it was time to enter the incredible light maze. With so many twists and turns and surprises at every corner it really made for a light display like no other.
When you enter the maze, a light hooded elf will give you a small booklet and say that the reindeer got out of the barn and you need to help find them all. The booklet has spaces for stamps for all the reindeer throughout the park. And so off we went in search of all the reindeer.
We loved walking through the maze and seeing the different displays and the creativity and ingenuity that went into creating such a place. Walls of lights led people through the maze offering spots here and there for some picture perfect settings.
One of our favorite corners of the maze was the dance floor that lit up with every step. Everyone wanted to abandon their usual adulthood in place of free spirited childhood frivolity as they moved across the dance floor. We also loved the polar bear with her cubs that we found in another corner of the maze.
At the center of the maze was their famed 100 foot Christmas Tree lighting up the night and guiding people through the maze there to the heart. We had found all the reindeer and gotten our booklet stamped at each one. The last one to find was Rudolph with his shiny red nose as he sat next to the exit.
We had a wonderful evening exploring through the light maze and ice skating through the trees, but there are a few things you should know if you decide to go.

The cost for this experience is $32/adult and $20/child usually however on Saturdays they are more. Ice Skating is an additional $18/person. You have to prepay to park at the parking garage next to it which was an additional $20/vehicle. It ended up being much more expensive then we realized.
They have specific times to arrive and park- 4:30, 7:30, and 9:30. We went at the 4:30 time and I would recommend going then so you have more time to do what you want to do.
The elves will tell you that there is a surprise at the end of the maze if you get all the stamps. The surprise is getting to enter your name into a drawing to win a visit to a Hallmark movie set. Don’t worry about getting all the stamps, and just enjoy the lights.
