“And so, does the destination matter? Or is it the path we take? I declare that no accomplishment has substance nearly as great as the road used to achieve it. We are not creatures of destinations. It is the journey that shapes us. Our callused feet, our backs strong from carrying the weight of our travels, our eyes open with the fresh delight of experiences lived.”

I’ve always that it was the journey that made the destination worthwhile. it\’s in the travel that we learn the most.

Thanks! I love this quote. Many years ago I wrote a book, not a best seller unless you count my mother and of course she didn’t have to pay. But I still like one line in it, “The right direction leads to the right destination.” Just take the road that looks right without obsessing over the destination and we will end up where we should be.

I love that thought- that is so perfectly said. I think so often we focus in on where we think we should be instead of allowing the path to take us where it will. Very impressed by the way that you wrote a book 🙂

A wonderful quote. Though I must admit I prefer the journey when there’s a glass of bubbles or two added in as well 🙂

That’s a wonderful quote. While the destination is important it is the journey that defines the destination, because through the journey a person gains tolerance, and wisdom, and gets to enjoy experiences he couldn’t have predicted when he planned the trip. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
