One Year In Tennessee

It's so hard to believe that we've now been in Tennessee for one year. When we moved from Florida up here, the craziness of Covid was in full swing which made the moving process more difficult than we expected. And then we arrived, excited to be in Tennessee, but immediately crestfallen at our apartment that [...]

Guess what?!?! We are moving to Tennessee! Our chapter here in Florida has come to an end after a year and half of adventures in this beautiful state. My hubby was sought out by a job up there and it is a fantastic opportunity. And so we're making our way north in search of new [...]

January 8, 2020October 8, 2021by grandmisadventuresLeave a Comment on One Year of Grand Misadventures

Well, we have made it to one year here in Florida and also one year of Grand Misadventures! Living in Florida has been such a unique experience for us as we moved from the mountains of Utah and found ourselves living next to the ocean on the Space Coast. There have definitely been some adjustment [...]

{Israel} That one time I got to ride a camel through the desert. I was off to a rough start when my camel didnt want me to get on. Then the next camel was a singing sensation. šŸ‡®šŸ‡± {Tennessee} Summer is here and the state parks are calling. Spent the day at one our favorite places-Fall Creek Falls State Park. With an invigorating hike down to the bottom of the falls and a swim in the water. A perfect day! @fallcreekfallspark Spent a weekend at @buffalorivernps in Arkansas and was amazed at the incredible beauty of this river. This was the first of the country's national rivers and this year is celebrating its 50th anniversary. When you find yourself with some time to walk through @gardenofthegodspark it makes for an amazing day! The Sangre de Cristos mountains in southern Colorado are just stunning to behold! Being in the mountains is good for my soul! Summer in Tennessee is made for exploring the beautiful state parks. Today took us to @timsfordstatepark and it made for a perfect day! Started the day with a visit to @cedarsoflebanonstatepark where we were rewarded with a lovely walk through the trees. Tennessee sure has some beautiful state parks to explore and this is one of our favorites! Did you know there is a Museum of Salt &Pepper Shakers? This collection is incredible to walk through and see all the different shakers. The museum has over 20,000 shakers and has been a labor of love for 35 years. It is an interesting and uncommon tribute to a common household item. When in Gatlinburg be sure to check out this museum! @visitgatlinburg A beautiful day in @greatsmokynps that started with a walk from the Sugarlands Visitor Center and ended up at Cataract Falls. This park has a magic all its own. Ready to face another week after finding my balance here in these beautiful mountains. What a fantastic day at @dollywood with family and friends! We did it all-the rides, the shows, the food-and we left very tired but very happy!
