Utah is home to the high five of national parks and Capitol Reef is probably the lesser known of the five. The landscape is striking and the red rocks set against the river is mesmerizing. It is also home to some of the state’s best preserved hieroglyphics from ancient cultures that called this area home. Walking through the valley, then climbing up to the top of the peaks, finding a resting spot in one of the natural holes in the walls, and then finishing it off with a walk along the river makes for a perfect day in the beautiful natural setting of the park.
