Yes, you read that right…there is a potato museum! In Blackfoot, Idaho (just south of Idaho Falls) is the Idaho Potato Museum and it is absolutely worth stopping here if for nothing else of the novelty of it. This museum is not huge, but is given all the love and care by the people who work there to really make it special. You will see potato farming techniques and machines through the years, a cafe that serves wonderful baked potato soup, and most importantly a cabinet full of Mr. Potato Head collectibles. He is the unofficial mascot of this museum so not only can you see all the different collectibles, but they also have bins full of Mr Potato Head parts so you can sit and play for hours. Between playing with Mr Potato Head and the best potato soup- this place definitely gets a thumbs up in my book.
